Argentine Tango – Absolute Beginners with Mariela Franganillo & Carlos Andres Dueñas
The nature of Argentine Tango is improvisation. It is not a dance based on patterns and sequences—its foundation lies in connection, a silent conversation between the couple where the leader proposes a step and the follower responds as they move together around the dance floor, connecting with the music, space, and other dancers.
The only thing that is not improvised is the music. The more we know the music, the more we are able to express ourselves in the dance.
The goal of these group classes is to develop a tango vocabulary, body awareness, self-expression, and musical sensitivity through tango techniques. These techniques will enable you to further grow your own dance.
