Tango and Pizza ! ABSOLUTELY no experience needed!

Ever wanted to try a dance class but felt intimidated or unsure where to start? This is your chance! This is our own PRIVATE class. Just us meetup folks! Ticket price ($22.50) includes class, slice of pizza and soda! Everyone will learn both lead and follow roles and dance with everyone, so no partner is needed.

Join us at Alter Society in downtown Long Beach for a beginner tango class designed for absolute beginners. No experience needed at all. If you can walk, you can tango. The class will break everything down step by step in a relaxed, supportive, and fun environment. Check out our fabulous instructor, Sharna! https://www.sharnafabiano.com/tango/. Sharna is an internationally recognized tango artist with over 25 years of experience! Her approach reflects an interest in the transformative effect of social dance: how we grow individually through connection with others.

After the 1 hour class, we’ll switch gears and enjoy a casual pizza social. Each attendee will receive one slice of pizza and a soda, included with your ticket. You are welcome to purchase additional food or drinks on your own if you’d like to keep the night going.

This event is perfect if you:

• Have never danced tango before
• Want to try something new in a low-pressure setting
• Enjoy meeting new people through shared experiences
• Love the idea of movement, music, and pizza in one night

Come solo or bring a friend. No partner required. Tango partners will rotate so everyone feels included and comfortable.

We’ll start with the class and ease into the social time afterward, giving you plenty of time to relax, connect, and enjoy the evening.

WHERE TO MEET: Inside Alter society, we will then go upstairs for class.

WHAT TO WEAR: Wear comfortable clothes and low heels or flat shoes that stay on your feet. Smooth soles a bonus.

WHERE TO PARK: Free 2 hour parking: at City Lot C -- 51 E 3rd St, Long Beach, CA 90802 -- right off 3rd (entrance also on 4th)

Even though some venues may serve alcohol, we ask that you stay ALCOHOL-FREE for the event.

Any guests that you want to bring will need to sign up with their own account, but please note that our events are for adults only who are over 18.
**IF YOU CAN'T FIND US -**
Right before and during the event: Call me (not text) at 562-505-7754 and don't use the chat function inside meetup as that is hard to check and keep track of right before and once the event is underway!
**CHECK-IN**
Be sure to find me and check in on the sign-in sheet for each event so that you are not marked as a no-show. Those members that no-show to 3 or more events will be removed from the group.
