Talks with GameDev Cardiff

We are hosting an audio panel from three industry professionals at Porters Cardiff, and would like to invite anyone and everyone interested in the world of game development!

Our speakers:

• Yasmine Latkowski - Composer, Songwriter, Performer
• Cai Jones - Sound Designer, AA Audio Lead
• Eranan - Composer, Orchestrator

The format:

The evening will be split into two halves with a break in the middle

• In the first half, we will be discussing how to represent cultures from across the world in audio, the do's, the don'ts, and the practical considerations for audio designers and game studios taking inspiration from cultures across the world
• In the second half, a more open master-class and Q&A on how best to make use of audio in games, and best practice for coordinating between audio designers and game studios

We hope to see both familiar and new faces for a fun & informative evening right in the heart of Cardiff.

Note: This is a free event, open to all, and tickets are not needed!

Who are we?

We are GameDev Cardiff, a volunteer-led community of people from all walks of the game development world, from student and indie to grizzled professional and everyone in-between. We hold monthly social meetings on the second Thursday of every month, and strive to bridge the gaps between gaming creatives of all skill levels, the wider industry, and the support systems that you might not have known are available.
