Taking Care of Our Own Part 1
Event Information
About this Event
This class is for firefighters, law enforcement, EMS, dispatch, and corrections officers.
The accumulation of distressing events can be a heavy burden to carry and can lead to burnout, distracted work performance, illness, and a variety of other negative consequences. This course will help emergency responders, decision makers, and educators learn how to protect their employees, fellow responders, and students thus lowering employee turn-over. The course will introduce those elements that put first responders at greater risk and introduce research based interventions that decrease the risk of burnout and extend the longevity of careers, while decreasing the physical symptoms, relational issues, mental overload, and suicidal risk that is too often included in the life of a first responder.
Nonrefundable.
