TAKE A BITE OUT OF CHRISTMAS

Start your Christmas in Montrose weekend with Take a Bite Out of Christmas on

Friday. December 5, 2025. You will be touring charming homes, historic buildings

and beautiful churches. This year we are offering three tours that will enhance

your Christmas experience.

ALL TOURS ARE ADULT ONLY – MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OF AGE

Snowflake Express

This tour begins at 5 pm, check in at the Information Booth at the Christmas Village

on the Green 15 minutes prior to the tour. This popular tour gives you an inside glimpse

of historic houses in Montrose as well as a delicious meal at the Center for

Antislavery Studies. The tour concludes at The Relic where drinks and dessert will be

served.

Cost: $50.00 per person

The History Mystery Tour

Join us for a festive evening of history, mystery, and holiday cheer! This strolling

tour begins at 5:00 PM. For check-in, please arrive at the Information Booth at

the Christmas Village on the Green at least 15 minutes prior to the tour. Your

adventure starts with a stroll across the Green to the Historical Society Museum,

where the evening’s mystery begins. Step back in time and dress as a Montrose citizen

of the past while helping to solve the question: “Who caused the fire that destroyed

the Searle Hotel?” The Endless Mountains Theatre Company (EMTC) will present a

lively, four-act interactive mystery performance. Even if you’ve joined us before, you’ll

want to return—this year’s story has been updated with new twists! As you explore the

avenue, you’ll hear fascinating local stories, uncover clues, and enjoy a delicious dinner

at the Busy Bee Café in the historic Tannery Place. The evening concludes at The

Relic, where drinks and dessert will be served.

The Silver Bells Church Tour

This tour begins at 4:00 the Montrose Bible Conference where parking is available.

Participants will experience church in a new way, visiting local churches, learning their

rich history, and enjoying the architecture. This tour includes music, and a “tent

meeting.” Participants will travel via the “church bus” keeping you warm along the way!

There will also be a sit-down soup and sandwich meal at Saint Paul’s Episcopal

Church.

Cost: $40.00 per person
