Tabletop Game Jam w/ Sacramento Developer Collective

3 DAY EVENT | November 7 - 9

What can you create in a weekend? Join Sacramento Developer Collective for a 3-day Game Jam where teams design, build, and showcase a brand-new tabletop or board game around a surprise theme.

• Fri, Nov 7 | 5–9 PM – Kickoff + theme reveal
• Sat, Nov 8 | 11 AM–9 PM – Design, create, playtest
• Sun, Nov 9 | 11 AM–9 PM – Final push + presentations at 5 PM

Entry is $40 for all three days, with judges, prizes, and community showcases. Entry also includes access to our game play space with a library of 1200+ board and card games!

Guest Judges!

• Price Johnson
  Price Johnson is Chief Operating Officer of Cephalofair Games, publisher of Gloomhaven, Frosthaven, Jaws of the Lion, and Buttons & Bugs. Over the last 8 years he has helped navigate the tabletop industry establishing Gloomhaven as an established brand and IP. His favorite games typically lean heavily into themes (often obscure ones!) with well integrated mechanics across all aspects of gameplay. When he's not playing board games he's spending time with his family in Rocklin, volunteering in his community, and watching films.
• Chris Parkins
  As an active developer and participant in the realm of board games, Chris has enjoyed a wide breadth of experiences. He has experience with self-publishing as well as working with publishers of multiple levels. Published and signed games include: Ocean Frenzy, Shifty Sheep and Pawky. Chris also has experience with participating in, organizing, and running design competitions, events, and cons. He enjoys working with different groups, doing some analytical analysis as well as development work for games, and designing across a wide spectrum from small 18 card family games to full size heavier games.
• Peter Hansell
  Creator of Bike Route Sacramento, is a seasoned game developer from Oakland, California known for his outstanding contributions to both video and board game industries. He has not only demonstrated exceptional creativity but also a profound understanding of small business development and growth, making him a valuable resource for aspiring entrepreneurs!
