Double Feature is a special Artist Shed event sponsored by the Tony Aye Artistry Foundation Inc., dedicated to providing our local community with a high-quality arts experience. This event brings musical concerts of beloved Broadway musicals to the general public, showcasing the talent and passion of local independent artists performing in charity roles. This year’s Double Feature promises an unforgettable evening featuring two iconic and culturally significant shows:

The Wiz - A modern retelling of L. Frank Baum's classic "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," this vibrant musical celebrates Black culture and artistry. With its soulful score and uplifting message, "The Wiz" follows Dorothy as she journeys through the magical land of Oz, encountering unforgettable characters, overcoming challenges, and discovering the strength within herself.

Dreamgirls - A dazzling and poignant musical, "Dreamgirls" charts the rise of a fictional 1960s girl group, inspired by the stories of Motown legends. The show captures the glamour, heartbreak, and ambition of the music industry, showcasing iconic hits and exploring themes of friendship, love, and perseverance.

Enjoy two incredible performances in one night as one cast presents both stories with an indie artist twist! This unique and engaging concert experience will take place in the welcoming ambiance of the Capital Lounge, where guests can also savor delicious food and drinks. Don’t miss this extraordinary celebration of art, culture, and community!
