The Johns Hopkins Consortium for School-Based Health Solutions invites you to join us for a symposium on Addressing Asthma in Schools.

This event will be an opportunity for educators, researchers, students and trainees, practitioners, funders and policymakers to convene and discuss innovative school-based asthma prevention and treatment strategies. Topics include directly-observed controller therapy in schools, addressing environmental triggers and telehealth.

Speakers include:

  • Sara LaFave, JHU School of Nursing

  • Margret Schnitzer and Joy Twesigye, Baltimore City Health Department

  • Dr. Meredith McCormack, JHU School of Medicine

  • Dr. Kate Connor, Rales Health Center at KIPP Baltimore

  • Dr. Helen Hughes, JHU School of Medicine

  • Dr. Joshua Sharfstein, JHU Bloomberg School of Public Health

At the symposium, the Consortium is excited to announce a new small grants program to help support and advance innovative school health projects.

Refreshments will be served.

The Consortium for School-Based Health Solutions is a Hopkins-wide collaboration that brings together educators, researchers, and clinicians to focus on developing effective school-based health solutions that address barriers to health and wellness access among underserved populations.
