Swing Into Spring

By Northshore Traditional Music Society

Overview

An evening of jazz, celebrating African American History Month, presented by NSTMS & made possible by NOLA Jazz & Heritage Foundation.

The ensemble gathered for our “Swing Into Spring” concert consists of the absolutely best jazz musicians in New Orleans, with substantial international careers,” asserts Redwine, Jazz Coordinator for the Northshore Traditional Music Society. “This is a concert you will not want to miss!”

The renowned musicians join their talents together for the first time to present this spectacular evening of musical variety. The concert will feature traditional jazz classics written by and made famous by African American musicians who created jazz, North America’s only officially recognized indigenous art form, combined with an interactive audience experience.

The concert, presented by the Northshore Traditional Music Society and made possible in part by a grant from the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation, Inc., will take place at 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the Fuhrmann Auditorium, 317 N. Jefferson Avenue, in Covington.
