Also known as lindy hop, jitterbug, and east coast swing, it's a fun style of partner social dancing that is usually done to big band music, jazz and rock and roll and originated in the 1930s and has been danced ever since all over the world.

Do I have to know how to swing dance or have a partner to attend?

Absolutely not. Everyone is welcome and a quick beginner lesson will get you on your feet. Beginners are very welcome, as are solo attendees. You probably won't sit down all night!

THE GRAND BOUBOUSSE BAND, Lesson & Lindy Performance!

Grand Boubousse is an early jazz collective, featuring some of the finest swing musicians from the Northeast. Led by Jonathan Greene, organizer of the Dance Flurry, and a talented clarinet and saxophone player, the band weaves together original world music with jazz roots, drawing influences from West Africa and Brazil. Last time we had them, the dance floor was packed!

All are welcome! No partner or experience needed to attend. Join the fun!
