What will I be doing in the class?

Besides having the most fun ever? We will be going over some cookie facts, decorating techniques and you will be decorating your very own set of cookies that you will take home with you that day.

Question 2

Can I purchase an additional take-home kit?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Many parents or practicing cookiers purchase additional class kits to take home and re-do the classes. You can purchase an add-on kit during check-out. Your kit will be available at the end of your class - so don't forget it!

Question 3

Do I need to know how to bake?

Accepted Answer

Nope! No baking experience required. We will have the cookies pre-made for you along with the icing already mixed and colored. Have a little decorating experience under your belt… er… apron? Come on too! I can help with questions on icing mixing and dough spread!

Question 4

What will we learn in class?

Accepted Answer

You’ll learn different decorating techniques depending on the class theme such as flooding, outlining and wet-on-wet. Or hey – go off script and make your own designs – it’s your class!

What do I need to bring?

Everything will be provided for you. All you need to do is join us and have fun! You can bring your own apron or just wear easy-to-wash clothing. There is a PowerPoint for reference, so if you wear glasses, we'd encourage you to bring them as well. Oh – and bring your phone – I love photos!

What age is best for cookie classes?

Our classes are for almost any age but our classes move fast to fit everything into the timeframe. In-person classes are great for any age; however, kiddos under 11 will need a paid parent taking the class as well because of the speed of the class. Or purchase an additional take-home kit!

Question 7

Can just my child take the class?

Accepted Answer

We ask that all parents attend the classes with their children under 11 (with purchased ticket for themselves). For children over 12+, you can drop off your child to take the class and return to pick-up in 1.5-2 hours. Due to space restrictions, we do not have room for parents to stand and watch.

Question 8

What will I bring home?

Accepted Answer

By the end of the class, you will have created a set of gorgeous cookies ready to dry for 24 - 48 hours in their own box. I’ll send you an Amazon link with a list of the tools we used in class so that you can recreate these cookies at home. You’ll have new skills, memories, and fun!

Can I sign up as an individual or as a group?

Accepted Answer

You can sign up either as an individual, with a friend, or with a whole group. The more the merrier! We are limited to a total of 20 seats per class, so definitely sign-up ASAP! We also have a discount for signing out multiple people at one time.

Where are the classes located?

Accepted Answer

This class will be held at Pond Farm Brewery - Brick Room in San Rafael, CA - that address is 1848 4th Street.

Question 11

I signed up for a class but can't make it?

Accepted Answer

We understand that life happens so that’s why we allow you to cancel up to 3 days before the class. You can always transfer your spot. Any cancellation after the 3 days before class it will not be refunded as we already started creating your in class kit. Please reach out directly to Live Love Bake.
