Rider Ridgeway, Environmentally Endangered Lands Program Coordinator, will offer an introductory class for anyone who wants to learn how to start fishing the Indian River Lagoon. The class will cover everything a new angler will need to know about inshore fishing. Topics covered will include: Rules and regulations, fish identification, how to cast, knot tying, types of bait to use, and how to be a conservation focused angler. Everyone who participates needs to have a FWC shoreline-saltwater license, it is free for Florida residents. Those 15 and under or 65 and older do not need a license. You will be able to practice your skills in the water, so please dress appropriately to get wet.
