Sustainable Crafting & Community Gathering

Sustainable Crafting & Community Gathering

By Sustainable Woodstock

Overview

Join us for an afternoon of crafting, hot cider, cookie potluck, and community!

Crafting Stations:

Wreaths and Door Swags – We will have all the supplies needed to make your own wreath or door swag out of locally grown evergreens, pinecones, and extras. Feel free to bring along extra things you’d like to add to your creation or share with the group!

Black Walnut Dye Pot – Give your stained & well-loved clothes new life at the Community Dye Pot! We’ll have a natural dye pot ready to share, made from black walnuts foraged from the hills around us. Bring in washed items such as bandanas, t-shirts, cloth napkins etc that are made of cotton, linen, flax, or wool for best results. Please bring a plastic bag to wrap up wet dyed items to take home. *We’ll keep the pots going as long as there is color to share.

Holiday Centerpiece – Learn how to make a centerpiece for your winter table out of upcycled cans. We’ll have plenty of supplies, but if you have shallow cans (like those from tuna or small pet food cans) please bring them along!

Pine Cone Bird Feeder – Learn how to make a pine cone bird feeder to help feed feathered friends this winter.

Details and What to Bring:

Potluck cookies and finger foods are encouraged!

Please BYO mug for hot cider. We will have basic crafting supplies, but if you have extra ribbons, berries (from non-invasive plants please), greenery, pine cones, etc, please bring them along!
