How is our Walk and Roll Accessible?

Self Advocates in our community chose Crescent Beach because it has a flat and even path, accessible washrooms, and parking. Self Advocates on our team who use wheelchairs enjoy Crescent Beach. It has many options to rest and enjoy the view. People can turn around as they need.

How long is the walk?

As long as you want it to be. The beauty of this location is that you can walk for a short time, take a break, or enjoy the view and booths. Some people will walk to one side of the boardwalk and back, while others can stop anywhere along the path and turn around.

Do we have to stay for the full event?

No! Come, celebrate the day with us as we begin then enjoy the beach. Go get ice cream, have a picnic explore or Blackie Spit.

Where is Parking for the Walk and Roll?

We recommend you park at the Crescent Beach Pier Public Parking. It is free to park there.

While dogs are welcome along the boardwalk during some months, we ask that you keep pets home for the walk.
