Supporting Raksha: A Donation Drive for Empowerment and Healing

Join us for a school donation drive and walk of solidarity in partnership with Life University to support the families of Raksha, Inc.

Join us for our Raksha School Donation Drive and Walk of Solidarity with survivors.

Raksha is a GA-based non profit with a mission to promote a stronger and healthier South Asian community through confidential support services, education and advocacy. Raksha's programs and services include crisis intervention, counseling, and referral services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, as well as community education and outreach. Raksha helps survivors rebuild their lives, heal from trauma, and achieve greater financial independence and stability.

This event aims to support survivors, raise awareness about their journey towards healing and empowerment, and provide the students materials needed for school.

Activities during the event include:

  • Donation Drop-off: Bring your donated items to support families and survivors of Raksha. Check out our amazon wishlist for school supplies Raksha needs.
  • Sorting Donations: Help us organize and prepare donated items for distribution.
  • Walk of Solidarity: Join us in a symbolic walk to show support and solidarity with survivors.
  • Survivor's Story: Hear firsthand from a survivor about her inspiring journey.
  • Decorate tote bags: Create colorful and uplifting tote bags to brighten the day of children of Raksha.

Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of survivors and contribute to building a supportive community. If you're unable to join us in person, consider making a purchase on the Amazon wishlist prior to August 2nd, and we'll sort it that Saturday!
