Description:

In this session, we’ll explore practical strategies for building trust and collaboration with a child’s birth parents and extended family members. We’ll discuss approaches for creating a welcoming environment that encourages relationship-building and offers mentorship to parents. Additionally, we’ll share examples of how small, thoughtful gestures can affirm the birth parent's role and support your child’s emotional well-being. Join us to gain valuable insights that will help you strengthen these important connections.

Objectives:

  • Identify at least 3 specific strategies for positive engagement with a child’s birth family. 

Format: Live Zoom (once registered you will find a link on the online event page)

Skill Level: Recommended for LMSW beginning and intermediate skill levels.
