Superstition Wilderness Campout
Overview
You do not need to attend the full event. Feel free to join for the two-night campout at Lost Dutchman State Park, or just join us Saturday for a full day of trail work.
Registration required to manage capacity and tools.
What to expect:
We will meet at our campsite in Lost Dutchman State Park Friday night. Saturday morning, after a brief safety meeting, we will gather the necessary tools, drive to the Hackberry Springs Loop trailhead, and hike into the worksite. Work for the day will include drain construction, drain clearing, and social trail monitoring. We will plan to end our work day at 3:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday.
Long-sleeve shirt, long pants, sunglasses/safety glasses, and closed toe shoes are mandatory to participate in volunteer work. Wild Arizona will provide the necessary tools and guidance to ensure a successful day.
Volunteers need to bring:
- Water bottles or hydration pack (3 liter per day capacity minimum for the work day)
- Food for the event (dinner Friday, breakfast Saturday & Sunday, and lunch Saturday & Sunday)
- Appropriate clothing for temps
- Trail shoes or hiking boots
