Swampspace presents “Super Cooper,”, an exhibition exclusively featuring alumni from The Cooper Union, a visionary college that redefined higher education in America. These multigenerational, multidisciplinary alumni received an education that was,“ free as air and water”, a term coined by founder Peter Cooper in 1859. We celebrate this radical vision of knowledge and discourse by showcasing work of several local artists who attended this iconic institution. The exhibition will include works on paper, made specifically for the show, which are mailed in by dozens of Cooper Union Alumni from around the world to express their personal connections to each other and with our city.Curated by fellow alumna Lulu Sanchez.
