Join UpaDowna and Diversify Whitewater for a FREE 1-hour class at SUP Skill Day at west shore of Quail Lake Park. Choose from four different timeslots on three different days throughout the Summer. All equipment including your paddle, paddleboard, and personal floatation device are included.
The purpose of SUP Skills Day is to introduce the sport of stand-up paddleboarding and provide safety and technique education for all first-timer and beginner individuals and individuals specifically identifying as Black, Indigenous, a Person of Color or an ally. All individuals regardless of background are welcome. Following the event, participants are welcome to picnic under the pavilion, explore the trails, or enjoy the shoreline. Swimming is not permitted at Quail Lake Park.

Meeting Point: Meet on the WEST side of Quail Lake Park by the playground, 915 E Cheyenne Mountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80906. Meet on the west side of the lake Look for the UpaDowna tent.
Parking: Parking can be limited in the West lot. Additional parking can be found on the east side of the lake. Participants will have to walk ~0.3mi. from the East lot. Please abide by all parking signs.
Age Requirements:
- Children 12 years old and under are RECOMMENDED to have an additional participant onboard SUP.
- Children 5 years old and under are REQUIRED to have a parent/guardian/other individual, who is comfortable paddling onboard.
What to Bring? Bring water, sun protection, clothes you do not mind getting wet including moisture-wicking shirts/shorts, and sandals.
