I have not tried paddle boarding before. Will I get some tips and training?

Accepted Answer

This is a beginner friendly activity. Before we get on the water we go over safety protocols and practice  sitting, kneeling, standing up, and staying up on the boards. We cover what to do if you fall off. Personal Flotation Devices are provided and required.

Question 2

What should I wear?

Accepted Answer

Swim suits and trunks, board shorts, t-shirts, and yoga pants are all comfortable attire for both activities. A hoodie or jacket is handy in case clouds roll in. Recommend sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses with strap. Some folks like to bring a set of dry clothes to change into after the session.

Can I bring my own yoga mat?

Yes. You can bring your own gear if you are comfortable locking it in your vehicle while we are on the water.

What kind of SUP paddle boards do you use?

Accepted Answer

We use top-of-the-line hard-shell EXCURSION Woody model SUP boards from Cruiser SUP. Each board has a leash and elastic tie-down straps for your dry bag and comes in 10'6" (up to 275lbs) and 11'4" (up to 300lbs) sizes.

Question 6

Can I bring kids?

It is possible to include one child under the age of 12 to ride-along at no cost if your combined weight falls within the limits of available SUP boards. You must inform us before arrival and give us the weight of the riders. Children are required to wear PFDs.

Question 7

Can I bring my dog?

Accepted Answer

No. This event isn't dog-friendly due to the variety of activities. We would not want dogs to have to stay in hot cars during yoga. We are happy to accommodate one dog on other SUP-only excursions on a case-by-case basis.
