Sunset Commons Book Club: Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow
Overview
Join us for the Sunset Commons Book Club, where stories, coffee, and conversation come together.
Our book of the month is Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin — a moving exploration of friendship, creativity, and the art of making things together. Set against the backdrop of video game design, it’s a love letter to collaboration, imagination, and the different ways we tell stories.
We’ll chat about the book’s themes of connection and creation, share favorite moments, and reflect on how art brings people together — just like here at Sunset Commons.
To get the most out of the discussion, we recommend reading the book before attending this event. Come for the conversation, stay for the cozy atmosphere (and maybe a craft or two).
RSVP required — space is limited. Grab a drink, pull up a chair, and let’s talk together, and together, and together.
About the Instructor:
Dina is a longtime neighbor, artist, and former teacher who’s been part of this community for nearly 30 years. Her creative work blends handicrafts, sustainability, and a love for all things whimsical. She's especially inspired by nature, nerdy things, and the magic of found materials – from plants to tiny treasures. She love creatively reusing and repurposing materials around us to make unique, meaningful art. She loves helping people explore their creativity in approachable, hands-on ways. Her workshops are playful, beginner-friendly, and designed to leave you with something special, fun, and totally you. Can’t wait to make something magical together!
About Sunset Commons:
Carmen and Steven started Sunset Commons to provide a space to connect and build community through arts and craft activities led by talented local artists. Inspired by a love for creativity and a desire to foster connection in the Sunset District, we envisioned a “third space” where neighbors can gather, unwind, and form meaningful relationships. Our mission is to empower self-expression, boost confidence, and offer an inclusive haven for everyone, from introverts seeking a calm environment to those enjoying health-focused traditional teas. Sunset Commons is not just a business - it’s our way of enriching the community we love and to the city we both grew up in.
*Our events are often photographed and filmed so we can share the fun with our community. If you don’t want to be on camera, no worries—let us know before the event.
