Sungbin Cho 'The Rosette: a close circle concert' [Nottingham]

Overview

Join classical guitarist, Sungbin Cho, for an intimate evening of music at The Rosette: a close circle concert series.

Sungbin Cho invites you to his new series, The Rosette: a close circle concert.

Sungbin Cho is a classical guitarist based in Nottingham and the winner of the 2021 London International Guitar Competition and the 2023 Blyth Watson Guitar Concerto Prize. A passionate advocate for the beauty of the classical guitar, Sungbin brings warmth, sincerity, and a uniquely lyrical voice to his performances. His playing seeks not only to express music, but to build genuine connection through it.

Sungbin invites you to The Rosette: a close circle concert, a new series which began with a simple desire for Sungbin to bring his music closer to the people. Rather than performing on a distant stage like many traditional concert settings, he hopes to create a shared space, with the listeners being brought together in a rosette -like circle.

The November series offers a beautiful programme that promises to take you on a journey through landscapes of sound and emotion. Sungbin’s new programme features a thoughtful collection of works by Morel, Weiss, Tansman, York, Coste, and Assad - pieces that together trace a path through the expressive depth of the guitar’s voice, played by Sungbin.

Join us at Sungbin Cho's The Rosette: a close circle concert in Nottingham and sit within The Rosette's circle for an evening of music in its most personal form.
