About the Band:
The doRiaN Mode explores the Great American Songbook as it dishes up vintage jazz and swinging R&B, from the sassy sounds of 1920s speakeasies and 1930s big-band swing to 1940s jump blues and the rollicking R&B of Ruth Brown. Vocalist and bassist Dorian Bartley leads this Petaluma-based acoustic quartet featuring Bob Johns on piano/trumpet, David Scott on sax/flute, and Tony Blake on drums. Whether they’re stomping at the Savoy in salute to Count Basie or paying homage to R&B legend Etta James, the doRiaN Mode brings elegance to classic American music.
