Sunday Service: November 16th

By Temple of the Third Place

Overview

This month we'll be having a introductory Qi Gong practice followed by introductory Tuina body work

Join us as we continue our monthly series: Sunday Service!

We invite you to a heartfelt and uplifting Sunday Service, where we come together to explore texts and shared experiences that align with our doctrine. Through reflection and discussion, we’ll uncover how these principles can guide us toward our highest selves, deepen our connection with one another, and embrace the oneness of the world. All are welcome to be part of this sacred space of growth, understanding, and unity.

Our Sunday Service this month will cover a discussion and a physical practice.

Back by popular demand, Robison Godlove will be our guest speaker at our Sunday Service this month! He has spent over three decades as a cannabis researcher, cultivator, breeder, educator, and business executive. Formally trained as a 7th Generation Royal Style Tuina practitioner at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, Robison has worked clinically with cannabis and Tuina since 2013. He also studies and teaches Taijiquan in the lineage of Zheng Manqing and holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Purdue University.

We will be discussing topics in his upcoming book "Just Touch - Cultivating a Dao of Cannabis and Taiji Tuina. The book combines ancient Chinese wisdom, the traditional health arts, and modern science to connect our consciousness and spirit to the cultivation of plant medicine and daily practices for the betterment of ourselves and our communities. As the world grapples with increasing stress, disconnection, and misinformation, Robison offers a path to healing rooted in ancient wisdom and modern understanding. This topic is particularly timely, addressing the intersection of cannabis reform, integrative medicine, spirituality, and contemplative practices.

Imagine a world where healing begins with a simple touch. This vision lies at the heart of our discussion this Sunday, an early step in a project that aims to transform health care and a connection with cannabis and spirituality. Touch is humanity’s first language. Cannabis is one of humanity’s oldest plant allies. His book JUST TOUCH reconnects these two healing forces, offering readers a transformative path to health, connection, and consciousness. Robison brings together the traditional Chinese arts of Taijiquan and Tuina, offering practical tools for personal and community healing to awaken the body’s innate intelligence, to cultivate connection through healing touch, and to cultivate cannabis as a spiritual and medicinal ally.
