No, this is a generative writing group for hobbyist writers who write for expression, connection, and healing; however, experienced tarot card readers are welcome!

Yes, because this is a (virtual) space for creative energy and refuge led by an Amherst Writers & Artists-trained facilitator, it is rooted in community and accessible to all writers regardless of experience.

What if I do not believe in tarot, but still want to participate?

Because this is a generative writing circle, a belief in fortune-telling or other forms of divination isn't required; however, participants will write, and as a result, may be subject to extreme self-reflection, creative inspiration, meditation, and intuitive exploration.

Why is the group called Hush Harbor Lit Club?

Hush harbors were sacred, secret gathering spaces where people met to share stories and dreams of freedom.  This is a space for reclamation of voice, healing, and creative communion -literary and spiritual energy and refuge -exactly what an AWA-affiliated circle is about.
