Sun Hop Fat's reinterpretation of the Swinging Addis period Ethiopian jazz is a cauldron of swell and froth that can only be broken by the strength of their groove. The Oakland based ten piece band has been preforming throughout the West Coast since 2009.

Harry and the Hitmen serve up classic Motown and Soul with jovial professionalism. But don't let the "suits" fool you, the band comes from an improvised rock tradition, and has years of experimentation behind their tight arrangements. Unearthing nuggets from the golden years of Motown and Stax records, the group also writes original “New Soul Classics”®. Because all six members are multi-instrumentalists and avid improvisers, their concerts continue to evolve nightly. Perfectly suited for everything from stately weddings to far-out festivals, Harry and the Hitmen delivers a one-of-a-kind dance party wherever needed!

Portland indie-rock songstress MAITA’s "focused, American realist psalm sets her far apart from her indie contemporaries (American Standard Time).” Her songs stand testament to the beautiful mess that we call life, offering rallying cries for the quiet warrior, the inquisitive seeker and the fierce lover.

Her two most recent releases in 2018 display opposing sides of MAITA's carefully crafted coin, from “Japanese Waitress” (featured on Tender Loving Empire’s Friends of Friends compilation), comprised of a "sobering melody" and "deeply personal storytelling" that "calls both Sufjan Stevens and Joni Mitchell to mind (NPR)", to 'Kid Anymore', a "perfect two-minute pop rock song (Vortex)" recently featured on the 2019 PDX Pop Now Compilation, Vortex Music Magazine's limited pressing vinyl compilation and the 2018 Picklefest vinyl compilation.

MAITA weaves these two sides together--quiet contemplation and unfettered catharsis--with her deliberate lyricism and wistful vocals. Her debut full length is currently being mixed by John Askew (Neko Case, The Dodo’s).

An ambitious followup to Cave Clove’s eponymous 2016 full-length studio album, Dollars to Tokens (out May 2019) demonstrates a potent formula for why vocalist/songwriter Katie Colver and her band are on a fast track emerging as one of the Bay Area’s most compelling new acts. Dollars to Tokens presents five unflinching chronicles of Colver’s own emotional yet often existential triumphs and struggles. Set to psych-rock infused production brimming with electrifying guitars and a West Coast Americana songwriting sensibility, Colver explores what it means to follow one’s most fervent dreams, while addressing all of the risks and sacrifices that such a journey entails. Set aside some time to delve into these anthemic stunners while Colver and Cave Clove dive to the depths of her idiosyncratic psyche.
