Summer Intro into Lego Spike Prime Robotics
Overview
Welcome to the Lego Spike Prime Beginner Workshop!
Date: Thursday 15/01 and Friday 16/01
Location: Peregian Digital Hub
Join us for a fun and interactive two-day workshop designed to introduce students to the exciting world of LEGO Spike Prime robotics and coding. Aimed at students aged 8–12, this hands-on experience runs on the 15th and 16th of January, from 9:00am to 12:00pm each day at the Peregian Digital Hub.
Throughout the workshop, participants will learn how to design, build, and program their own robots using LEGO Spike Prime kits. They’ll explore the basics of block-based coding, tackle engaging challenges, and develop essential problem-solving and teamwork skills in a supportive and creative environment. This workshop is recommended for students with some prior coding experience. Please note that this course does not include building onto the robots with LEGO bricks/pieces. The robots used in this workshop are called LEGO Spike Prime.
Students must bring their own laptop or tablet, though a limited number of loan laptops will be available on the day if needed. A single $85 ticket covers both days of the class for one student.
Whether your child is new to robotics or building on existing skills, this is a fantastic introduction to hands-on STEM learning.
Please note that this course does not include building onto the robots with LEGO bricks/pieces
