Explore the art of Sumi-e, Japanese Ink Brush Painting with Instructor, Sherry Davis. Sherry Davis became interested in Japanese art and culture over 20 years ago at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art where she learned the ancient art of Sumi-e. Sherry went on to teach both students and adults. She is a member of the Artists Council and has exhibited her work in the Artists Center. Most of her work today combines ink brush painting with traditional Japanese woodblock prints to create a mixed media painting. Her recent demo was met with enthusiastic interest in this ancient technique.
