Event description

Description

The Los Angeles Suicide Prevention Network is excited to announce its 7th Annual Summit. This year's focus is suicide contagion.

We are honored to have Dr. April Foreman (http://www.docforeman.com/) as our keynote speaker with "Our Stories are Killing Us: Suicide, Media and Contagion."

Other speakers will address past suicide clusters in the United States, as well as school district/community responses in the Los Angeles area, and lessons learned. Appropriate messaging around suicide will also be explored.

With the passage of AB2246, which requires the adoption of suicide prevention, intervention, and follow-up plans by local CA school districts in the grades 7-12, you won't want to miss this timely conference.

We invite you to continue the conversation with Dr Foreman from 2-3:30. She will discuss taming professional anxieties about social media. Lunch on your own.

Registration begins promptly at 7:30 am. Conference will start at 8:00. Parking is free on site.

Breakfast will be provided.

We look forward to seeing you there!
