Sudan Discussion Series: The War On Civilians
Overview
Join us for a critical conversation on the ongoing war on civilians in Sudan. This discussion will examine the strategies used by warring parties, including the weaponization of people, food, and technology, as well as the broader systems of exploitation, violence, and abuse that have emerged from this conflict.
We will explore how these tactics have devastated education, driven up the cost of living, disrupted employment, and forced people to seek asylum in neighbouring countries and beyond.
The session will also highlight the power of grassroots organizing and mutual aid, including how resources are mobilized within Sudan and the importance of supporting trusted community groups that are able to respond to urgent needs in isolated areas.
