The historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Law has made available billions of dollars in discretionary grant programs to which communities across the country have submitted applications. During this one hour workshop, we'll hear from USDOT officials about strategies that can make for more effective grant applications, resources available to help navigate the grant application process, key issues to consider when applying for a discretionary grant that can also impact project delivery, and efforts USDOT is taking to streamline the grant process. Attendees will also have an opportunity to engage with the USDOT officials on their most pressing questions.
*USDOT will not be able to address questions regarding specific grant applications that have been submitted and are under review or that are being developed for currently open Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs).*
USDOT Participants:
- Mariia Zimmerman, Strategic Advisor for Technical Assistance & Community Solutions
- Stephanie Pollack, Coordinator for Project Delivery Support
- Other Officials TBA
This workshop is ideal for state, local, and tribal government staff, as well as grant writers and technical assistance providers from non-profit organizations, philanthropy, academic institutions, and the private sector.
