Student Data Privacy: Legal Compliance and Best Practices

This interactive session will provide a solid understanding of, and how to comply with, relevant federal and Connecticut laws protecting student data privacy, especially PA 16-189 and recent updates to the law. You will come away with a solid understanding of these laws as well as a list of tools and resources the State offers to help streamline your compliance efforts.

Please note that the training session's content will address legal concerns for the K12 environment.

The event will take place in person at CCSU, Student Center, Alumni Hall, and will be streamed to various locations across the state via WebEx. To attend this training session, click the "Register" button at the top of the page and choose a convenient location from the list that appears. Attendees at all locations will have the opportunity to network with each other and to participate via the interactive digital session.
