Want to make your course materials more accessible and easier for every student to read, navigate, and understand? In this workshop, you’ll learn how to use accessible headings, fonts, and spacing in tools like Canvas, Microsoft Word, and Google Docs. We’ll cover simple strategies that improve readability, boost accessibility for screen readers, and create a smoother learning experience for all. Perfect for faculty, staff, and TAs who want to build strong foundations in accessibility and design with confidence.

We’ll discuss:

  • Heading styles: how to use them and why they matter
  • Best practices for accessible fonts and text style
  • Best practices for text spacing

  • Participants will attend remotely via Zoom (a link to Zoom room will be emailed the morning of the training).
  • An ASU Zoom account will be required to join this session.
