Structure & Clear Limits

Structure and Clear Limits in a youth program lay the foundation for a safe environment that supprts young people.

This interactive workshop helps out-of-school time staff establish appropriate structure (routines and rituals) and clear limits (norms and behavior guidelines), fostering a feeling of fairness and predictability that supports young people to explore and express themselves in a conducive learning environment.

Participants will leave this session with practical skills that can be implemented immediately.

Registration Details

Registration is open for this event until it fills up or until two days before the workshop.

This workshop is limited to 20 participants. We will have a waiting list that we'll use to both fill spots that open up and also help plan our future workshop topic schedule.

Each participant will be provided with a workbook to use during the training and keep and receive a certificate of completion via email afterwards.

Location & Accessibility

This workshop will take place at CoLab18, which is on the main level inside Nova Place at 100 South Commons, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 (on the Northside).

There is an entrance to the Nova Place Concourse at the corner of South Commons and Federal Street, across from the Post Office. There is an accessible ramp at this entrance.

If you come by car and park in the garage, there are elevators in the garage.
