Ever watch a YouTube Live video and think "How can I do that?" or see a colleague Zooming with picture in picture and wonder "What's their secret?" In this workshop, you'll learn the basics of producing professional looking live content that can be streamed to platforms like Twitch or YouTube, or used as a virtual camera into Zoom, WebEx, or other conferencing software .

This 3.5 hour workshop will include 3 hours of interactive content, and two 15-minute breaks. Class size is limited to 16-people to allow for a lot of interaction. All attendees will be invited to a Discord Server where they can continue to ask questions and get help into the future.

• Your first scene: You & your audio
• You can chromakey if you want to
• Adding a template
• BREAK
• Picture-in-Picture: Adding an image or slide deck
• Using web sources
• BREAK
• Scene changes
• Using multiple scenes

Prior to the workshop, attendees will receive a link to a Google Drive containing starter templates for multiple scenes (both JPGs and Adobe Illustrator files). Attendees are expected to download the templates and install OBS prior to the workshop.

Hardware Requirements: Streaming requires significant processing, although for simple tasks you can getaway with less. Here are the minimal requirements:

• A working microphone
• Headphones
• A desktop or laptop with at least a Gen 8 Core i5. (See Twitch Recommendations) running OSX, Windows, or Linux.
• A login that allows you to install software
