Klasey Consulting is partnering with Lincoln Families to bring this training Strategies to Support Transitional Age Youth with Codependcy to Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras providers.Codependency can occur in the aftermath of trauma so it's crucial for social service providers to understand what codependency is. This training will provide an overview of codependency and it's relationship with trauma. The training will also focus on strategies to support system-involved transitional age youth who demonstrate codependent tendencies.

Learning Objectives

* Participants will be able to explain codependency to system-involved transitional age youth on their caseloads

* Participants will be able to identify at least one characteristic of transitional age youth with codepedncy

* Participants will be able to identify and implement at least one strategy to support transitional age youth with codependency tendencies

Please note that in order to register for these FREE trainings your organization must directly work with foster, adoptive or probation involved children, youth and their families in Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras only. Caregivers, including resource families, who serve youth in the above-mentioned counties are also eligible. Participants outside of these areas aren't eligible and will not receive the zoom link.

Dr. Kwonta Phatiphong is a registered psychological associate with 6 years of counseling experience in clinical and social service settings. She has experience in working with clients struggling with  trauma and crisis, substance abuse, learning disabilities, homelessness, and low and high functioning client populations. She is trained in substance abuse, Seeking Safety, TF-CBT, Motivational Interview, Crisis Prevention Intervention, Trauma Resiliency Model, and psychological assessments.
