Join Us in Strategies to Increase Body Image and Self-Esteem with System-Involved Girls and Young Women

Klasey Consulting is partnering with Lincoln Families to bring this training Strategies to Increase Body Image and Self-Esteem to Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras providers. Many girls and young women struggle with self-esteem. Whether the low self-esteem is related to a history of trauma, depression, comparing oneself to others on social media, etc., it’s important to understand the challenges girls and young women face with self-esteem. In this training you'll also learn some strategies to help them increase their self-esteem and self-worth.

Learning Objectives

Participants will be to identify at least 1 risk factor for poor body image
Participants will be able to identify at least 1 way trauma affects one's relationship with their body
Participants will be able to identify at least 1 strategy to help girls and young women increase their body acceptance


Please note that in order to register for these FREE trainings your organization must directly work with foster, adoptive or probation involved children, youth and their families in Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras only. Caregivers, including resource families, who serve youth in the above-mentioned counties are also eligible. Participants outside of these areas aren't eligible and will not receive the zoom link.

Dr. Kwonta Phatiphong is a registered psychological associate with 6 years of counseling experience in clinical and social service settings. She has experience in working with clients struggling with trauma and crisis, substance abuse, learning disabilities, homelessness, and low and high functioning client populations. She is trained in substance abuse, Seeking Safety, TF-CBT, Motivational Interview, Crisis Prevention Intervention, Trauma Resiliency Model, and psychological assessments.
