Klasey Consulting is partnering with Lincoln Families to bring this training to Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras providers. Strategies to Address Vicarious Trauma with Social Service Providers to Improve Outcomes for System-Involved Youth.Triggers are common for individuals who have been exposed to trauma. They can show up immediately or some time after the trauma. They can be confusing and difficult to navigate without adequate support. This training will provide an overview of trauma and triggers, common types of trauma triggers and strategies to support system-involved youth and young adults who are being triggered.
Learning Objectives
Identify at least 1 sign of vicarious trauma
Create a plan of intentional self-care at work to improve outcomes of system-involved youth
Identify at least 1 component of self-compassion
Please note that in order to register for these free trainings you must be staff, caregiver or volunteer working directly with foster, adoptive or probation involved children, youth and their families in Alameda, Solano, Mendocino, Lake, Contra Costa, Humboldt, Tuolumne and Calaveras only. Participants outside of these areas aren't eligible and will not receive the zoom link.

Carter Redfield, a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Psychotherapist, and Trauma Specialist, has been helping her community heal for over 14 years. With two master’s degrees in clinical specialties, an advanced Clinical Trauma Professional Certification, a Board Certification in Clinical Counseling, and multiple professional trainings in trauma informed modalities such as EMDR, IFS, and Attachment, she offers comprehensive and holistic trauma informed trainings to diverse groups across the world. With over a decade of experience developing professional training curriculums, in executive leadership positions, and mentoring new professionals in the field of counseling, Carter believes every person deserves to live healed, not just coping with the stressors of life or triggers of the past. In addition to providing individual and group counseling, she offers encounters for healing through trainings to government organizations, mental health professionals, nonprofits, and those looking to better understand how to help healing come to the world around them.
