Yorkshire Universities Consortium Invited to Strategic Networking Event at Leeds Beckett University
Leeds Beckett University is pleased to invite members of the Yorkshire Universities Consortium to a collaborative networking and knowledge-sharing event on Wednesday, 24 September 2025, hosted at The Knowledge Exchange, City Campus (LS1 3HB) from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
This event will bring together colleagues from across the region to strengthen partnerships, share insights, and explore opportunities for innovation and efficiency in higher education with the focus of the session being a keynote talk from Rod Vidders, UKRI Director of Risk, Assurance and Counter Fraud, who will speak about the UKRI Assurance exercise, conducted approximately every five years. Rod will outline recent updates to the process and share UKRI’s vision for reducing bureaucracy and streamlining institutional engagement during the exercise.
This session will be particularly valuable for colleagues with a research compliance or governance remit - this session will offer insights into the evolving assurance landscape and how institutions can stay ahead of the curve, without jumping through hoops
