ABOUT YOUR HOSTS & FEATURES
Leona Maria Kauflin is a beleaguered IT girl moonlighting as a standup comedian for gay women. She moved to Chicago in May of 2023 and quickly learned to hate tourists and suburbanites. You can see her be “funny” at any Strap On The Mic show or on Bluesky @valkyri-anna.
Hailing all the way from PA, Serena broke Amish* to be a comic. Described as a pretty dyke, a modern woman, and annoying**. She is on her reunion tour of stand-up except most people don’t know she first tried this 5 years ago. *no she didn’t **devilishly charming
Sam Rocha is a Chicago-based comedian and creator who has performed stand-up across the country, opening for acts like Cameron Esposito, Rhys Nicholson, Geoffrey Asmus, SNL’s Alex Moffat, and Juno Birch. She’s headlined shows at Don’t Tell Comedy and Laugh Factory, where she also produces Sashay— a showcase held on the last Sunday of every month. Sam has also understudied for The Second City, was a finalist on the sixth season of Improv Survivor, and co-stars in the upcoming short “Sam Wants Her Sweater Back.” Online she is best known for her character Aunt Dipsy and viral film parodies on TikTok. You can follow her @samhandleyrocha across all platforms for fun content and to get tickets to a show!
Kailah Peters (K.P.) describes her writing as confessions her soul makes to her mind. Her work weaves between poetry and comedy, finding a niche and community as a co-producer of Giggle Hour, a monthly comedic poetry show hosted at the Lincoln Lodge. Catch her being overly vulnerable on the internet and around the city or, most likely, just asking to pet your dog.
MacKenzie Shapiro is a clown, comedian, and producer based in Chicago. She was nominated for “Best Comedian” in the Chicago reader, is a local staple, and has performed around the world. MacKenzie produces Gems, Slumber Party at the Lincoln Lodge and teaches clown at the Newport Theater.
