Danielle Ofri, MD, PhD is one of the foremost voices in the medical world today, shining an unflinching light on the realities of healthcare and speaking passionately about the doctor-patient relationship.

She presents the 2025 Ewing Halsell Distinguished Lecture with the topic of "Storytelling in Medicine: The Passion and the Peril," which explores the power of narrative, which can be exhilarating or painful or both, as medical professionals find that they are submerged in their patients' stories.
