“The folks from the Rhode Island Medical Reserve Corps, Rhode Island Disaster Medical Assistance Team put on a really good hands on, intensive program. This workshop is part of the private, all volunteer Burrillville Land Trust’s 25th anniversary of giving back to taxpayers in Burrillville and all of Rhode Island,” says Paul A. Roselli, president of the Burrillville Land Trust. “The workshop does many things well: we try to build resiliency by empowering participants to stop a life-threatening hemorrhage following unintentional injuries, crashes, acts of violence, or natural disasters; we try to calm nerves so folks can take immediate and necessary action; and we do all of this in a meaningful and respectful manner. We have been very successful at this,” says Chris Hiener, Simulation Specialist and Innovation Technologist with RIDMAT-MRC
The worksop is on August 16, from 10am to 12pm at the Jesse M. Smith Memorial Library, Harrisville, RI. Register today to secure your spot.
