Discover how thread, paper, and imagery intertwine in Stitched & Woven Visions, a two-part workshop series led by artist Yochi Yakir-Avin. Participants will explore memory and personal narrative through mindful artmaking, combining photography, stitching, and paper weaving to create tactile, expressive works.
While each workshop may be purchased separately, it is recommended that participants attend both sessions to experience the full creative process.
Part 1: Stitching & Threading Photography
Date: November 13 | Time: 6 – 8 pm
Combine hand-stitching with photography in this meditative workshop that explores the tactile connections between image, memory, and time.
What to Bring:
Participants are encouraged to bring a black-and-white family photograph of personal significance (copies only, printed on cardstock). A curated selection of vintage photographs will also be available.
Part 2: Weaving Paper
Date: November 20 | Time: 6 – 8 pm
In this hands-on session, participants will transform printed images into vibrant, abstract compositions by weaving strips of paper — blending fragments of the past into something entirely new.
What to Bring:
Participants are encouraged to bring a black-and-white family photograph of personal significance (copies only, not originals). A curated selection of vintage photographs and magazines will also be provided.
