Age Range:
Open to ages 12 - 100. No prior painting experience is needed.
Workshop Focus:
This 3-hour Watercolor Workshop is designed to introduce beginner-friendly painting techniques in a fun, supportive environment. Participants can expect to learn foundational watercolor skills through hands-on practice and step-by-step instruction.
Workshop Breakdown:
Hour 1: Explore watercolor basics through tips, tricks, and guided technique practice (washes, blending, layering, and brush control).
Hour 2: Create a guided sketch from a still life, learning how to simplify forms and prepare for painting.
Hour 3: Bring it all together in a finished watercolor painting, applying the techniques learned earlier in the session.
What to Bring:
- A water bottle or light snack (optional)
- Clothing you don’t mind getting a little paint on (aprons are welcome but not required)
- Enthusiasm and curiosity!
