Come spend some time doodling with friends, community, and strangers alike with Objects of Desire as we focus on the strangities, beauties, and aesthetics of digital technology on May 28th, 2025 (this is a still life drawing class and will not feature live models). We will aim to grapple with the encroaching challenges of technology in our personal, political, and artistic lives. We will also be focusing on the interaction between the natural world and the technological one.
The session will start out with a 45 minute intro session with 5-8 exercises lasting from 1 minute to 14 minutes in length. This will be followed by a 15 minute break to mingle and chat. We will then do a longer session of 45 minutes of free drawing. Come with your creativity in hand to The Wing and A Prayer in Lower Clapton for a night of exploration! All skill levels welcome. Paper and graphic pencils will be provided but please bring any other materials you want.
A portion of funds will be donated to Humanti Project's Fund a Kitchen in Gaza, and the rest will go to art supplies for the night!
