Release party for the new album entitled "Always Tomorrow". This is Steve's sixth studio album and was recorded in Portland with producer Isaac Pierce. The songs tonight will come mainly from the new album. Steve is a dynamic, funny, friendly performer. You will be in for an emotional roller coaster ride throughout the evening. He reckons his music is genre-fluid. Steve returns to Portland for this special afternoon performance to share his new songs with his old friends and new listeners. He is accompanied by Isaac Pierce and dancer Elisabeth Rogolsky.

Steve Ulrich is a veteran songwriter with performances in Austin Texas, Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, Toledo Ohio, across the country and, of course, Portland. In addition to his own musicianship, he created and directed a nonprofit music school in Guatemala for many years.

Isaac Pierce is a Portland, Oregon–based musician, songwriter, and producer originally from Hayward, Wisconsin. His music has been described as spectral folk/rock, drawing comparisons to Jason Molina, Adam Green and the Eels. Pierce's stylistic approach is that of a delicate lyrical and compositional congruence — where words rise naturally from the music in such a way that feels incidental. The writing reads like shimmering magical realism-a vivid exploration of love, loss, and longing pitched against the seemingly mundane. He calls it “ten-speed music.”

‘There is a certain wistful howl that runs through the work of this Midwestern writer, fully committed to connecting muse and craft.’ -Robert Sarazin Blake

‘Dark. Beautiful. Indelible. Soothing until haunting…picturesque.' -Global Texas Chronicle, Walter Price
