In the spirit of the historic salons, Stepping Stones is an opportunity for people to gather, to discuss, and to share ideas. Occurring every two weeks, Stepping Stones invites you to read, form an opinion, and engage in thoughtful conversation, including bringing in additional resources (poetry, articles, books, music, art) to share.
Each month the focus will shift as we explore different ways to live in a gift economy: a system in which goods and services are given freely and not sold or bartered. During our Thursday mornings conversations, we will discuss the principles of gift economy as well as provide both resources and opportunities for implementing gift economy practices in different sectors of the community.
📢 Update: May
For our May focus, Sustainable Fashion, you are invited to read, listen or watch one or more of the following resources. You also are welcome to share resources that you found. We will be creating a shareable document for all who want to take a deeper dive into gift economy practices.
