Step Out of Your Story: Writing to Reframe and Transform Your Life
Every life is an unfolding story—a unique, dynamic, and sacred narrative that is open to interpretation, especially our own. Yet few of us pause to ask: What is my story really about? Who is writing my script? And how can life’s challenges become the very forces that help me grow into a more joyful, authentic character?
Based on Kim Schneiderman’s book Step Out of Your Story: Writing Exercises to Reframe and Transform Your Life (New World Library, 2015), this workshop celebrates its 10-year anniversary with a fresh invitation to explore your narrative through perspective-shifting writing exercises. Together, we will imagine ourselves as the heroes of our own works-in-progress, with the power to interpret, transform, and reclaim our personal stories through choice and voice.
This interactive class is designed for both new and seasoned writers. All that’s required is basic literacy, a willingness to write, and a sense of adventure.
