Presented by the 100 Black Men of Greater Washington, D.C.
in partnership with The University of the District of Columbia National Alumni Society (UDCNAS), STEM Lingo, Lockport, and others!
The STEM the 100 Way – STEM Academy: Future of Technology Session is an unforgettable, hands-on experience designed to open young minds to the world of technology and innovation! This expo’s theme — “The Future of Technology: From Analog to Cybersecurity and Coding” — will immerse students in real-world challenges that make learning exciting, creative, and fun.

For this upcoming expo, students ages 13–18 will rotate through interactive sessions led by industry professionals and innovators, gaining skills and insights that spark curiosity and inspire future careers in high-tech fields.

Students will rotate through interactive sessions led by industry professionals, gaining skills and insights that can shape future careers in high-tech fields:
Ground Control Simulation:
Build a ground control station, act as launch director, and simulate a rocket countdown!
Students will apply coding and engineering concepts in a thrilling, real-world scenario.
Cybersecurity Workshop - “CTRL + ALT + SECURE”:
Led by Jordon Miller, this session introduces students to cybersecurity fundamentals through interactive challenges.
Students will learn to DEFINE key concepts, DEFEND their positions, and HACK through real-world inspired scenarios.
The Analog Journey – From Locks & Ham Radio to Today:
Explore the roots of technology:
- Physical Locks: Understand how mechanical principles evolved into digital security.
- Ham Radio & Morse Code: Discover how early communication paved the way for modern coding.
