Get Ready for an Unforgettable STEM Adventure!

The STEM the 100 Way Expo is an exciting, hands-on experience designed to ignite curiosity and inspire the next generation of innovators! Hosted by the 100 Black Men of Greater Washington, DC, this dynamic event invites students in grades 8–12 to explore the worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics through real-world applications, engaging projects, and expert-led demonstrations.

Here’s what your child can look forward to:

Science Zone – Dissection Lab
Step into the shoes of a medical professional! Students will get hands-on experience in a live dissection activity led by experienced instructors. They'll explore anatomy and understand how organs function in the human (or animal) body.

Technology Zone – Prompt Engineering & AI
Curious about Artificial Intelligence? Students will discover the power of AI tools and learn the basics of prompt engineering in an interactive session led by a tech expert. It’s a must for any future coder or digital innovator!

Engineering Zone – Soldering & Circuitry
Sparks will fly—safely! With guidance from Montgomery College faculty, students will use real tools to solder circuit boards and build their own electronic badge. They’ll learn how circuits power the technology we use every day, from computers to gaming consoles.

Mathematics Zone – Compressed Air Rocket Challenge
Who said math isn’t fun? Students will use measurements and calculations to build and launch compressed air rockets on the outdoor field. It’s a high-energy, high-flying way to see math in action!

Planetarium Experience
Take a trip to the stars! In our immersive planetarium, students will explore the wonders of space and ocean life through a captivating video experience.

Whether your child dreams of being a doctor, coder, engineer, or astronaut, this event is the perfect launchpad.

Space is limited—register today and empower your child to discover what’s possible through STEM the 100 Way!
